By using the platform, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
About ScoutingLink
ScoutingLink is a technology platform where football players, coaches, analysts, backroom staff and clubs can create professional profiles for discovery by clubs, scouts, agents, recruiters and other users.
ScoutingLink is not an agent, employer or representative and does not guarantee opportunities, trials, contracts, employment or contact from another user.
Eligibility and under-18 users
You must be at least 18 to own and use an account independently. A listing for a person under 18 must be owned and supervised by a parent or legal guardian with appropriate consent.
Accounts
You must provide accurate, current information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and must tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that are misleading, unsafe, fraudulent or in breach of these terms.
User content and licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You confirm that you have the right to use it and grant ScoutingLink a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, display and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the platform.
Approved profile content may be publicly visible. Private fields are handled according to the privacy policy.
Prohibited use
You must not use the platform unlawfully, deceptively, harmfully or abusively.
- Provide false or misleading information
- Impersonate a person or organisation
- Upload unlawful, offensive or defamatory content
- Harass, groom, exploit or pressure another user
- Attempt unauthorised access or interfere with security
- Use the service for spam, scams or fraudulent opportunities
Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, restrict features, hide content, suspend an account or permanently ban a user. We may move directly to suspension or a ban where needed to protect users or the platform.
Valid rights or takedown reports will be assessed and content may be removed or restricted.
Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Fees, billing periods and included features are shown before purchase. Stripe processes payments. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the available billing controls.
Unless the checkout or applicable consumer law states otherwise, payments are non-refundable after service has begun. We may change prices or features prospectively and will provide notice where required.
Recruitment conduct
Scouts, agents, club representatives and recruiters must communicate professionally, present only genuine opportunities, avoid pressure or exploitation and follow applicable law, safeguarding standards and football governing body rules.
Verification can improve confidence after evidence review, but it is not a guarantee of identity, conduct, affiliation or opportunity. Users must perform their own due diligence.
Safeguarding
Adults interacting with under-18 users must keep communication appropriate, transparent and inclusive of the guardian. Grooming, exploitation, sexualised communication or other misconduct may result in immediate removal and referral to the relevant authorities.
Safeguarding concerns should be reported through the contact page. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services or the relevant local authority first.
Intellectual property
ScoutingLink owns the platform, software, brand and service content excluding user content. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or exploit them except where law permits or we give written permission.
Liability and availability
The platform is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScoutingLink is not liable for indirect loss, lost opportunities, user conduct or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination and disputes
We may suspend or terminate access for a breach, safety risk, legal requirement or serious platform misuse. You may stop using the service and manage an active subscription through your account.
Contact us first if a dispute arises. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the platform changes. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
